Recent reports have suggested that almost 50% of the men think that they have smaller than normal penises, while over 80% of women have confirmed that their partner’s penis was of satisfactory size.

While only about 1% have true micropenises (see the online survey result to your right), why do almost 50% worry about their penis size? It is all in their heads, psychologists say & call it Small Penis Syndrome. This is not a physical condition, but an anxiety disorder. Just like a normal teen girl worried about her (normal) breast size, men can be anxious about their penis’ size.

However, it is important to find out if you truly have a smaller penis. The measurement and determining your penis size is given Once you realize that your penis is of the average size, you should gradually try to let go of that anxiety. Even if you fit into the small penis category (not micro penis), you will still be able to satisfy your partner. Only when you have a micro penis condition, you must get medical help.

Who experiences Small Penis Syndrome?

The following type of people experience Small Penis Syndrome.

1) Teens who have not had any sexual experience with a partner (i.e., virgins).

2) Men who have been ridiculed about a small penis, especially their own family members, when they are young.

3) Timid or submissive men who are easily intimidated by women.

4) Men who are too attentive to women’s needs and are unrealistic about a woman’s expectations.

5) Men who are under a lot of stress, pessimistic, gloomy and self destructive.

6) Men who view themselves as ugly, fat, or who feel unattractive about their body.

Treatment:

If you have measured your penis according to the article mentioned and the results have shown that your penis is not of the micro penis type, you must have realized that you do not have anything to worry about. If you have been worrying all along that you have a small penis, you must try to let go of the fear and anxiety. You can tell yourself few times a day, that your penis is normal and try to feel confident about your size.

If anxiety and fear persists, or if it obstructs you from having a normal life, it is time to seek help. Many men have become social recluses, alcoholics or even suicidal because of Small Penis Syndrome. If you cannot overcome this anxiety yourself, you must see a good doctor right away, who will refer you to an anxiety treatment center or a psychiatrist.
